THE GOLDEN MONITOR AWARD

This award is given to webmasters and webmistresses who have exceptional
fan-made, non-commercial, celebrity sites on the web.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

* All sites must be non-commercial. (That means you can't be selling anything to anybody).

* All sites must be devoid of pornography; all sites must be devoid of blatant expressions of racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of bigotry; and all sites must be available to ALL viewers. (So if you have a porn site, an ADULTS ONLY site, or any other site that requires a restriction of its viewership, don't even bother submitting it for an award. You won't get one from us.)

* All sites must be generated by celebrity fans. (That means we won't consider sites generated by the television networks, radio stations, or other such "official" bodies.)

* All sites must have ALL LINKS working properly; must be devoid of "under construction" signs or banners; and must have all images show up properly in a reasonable amount of time.

* All sites must contain information about the celebrity to whom the site is dedicated. We like to know about the celebrity's history, personal background, filmography, etc. If your site is just a mass of links to other people's site, it doesn't qualify for an award under this provision.

* Remember, we're looking for exceptional sites that display a lot of enthusiasm for the celebrity by the webmaster or webmistress. Not all sites are elligible for the award, even if they meet all of the other criteria listed above.

AOL: AMERICA ON-LINE:

• A Pretenders Paradise: AOL, ("The Pretender", television series/ Michael T. Weiss, actor) Webmistress Kov. This site gets better and better. It includes images, press releases, up-to-the-minute news, personal photographs, links, and episode recaps of The Pretender done up in poetic format.
  
• Enter the Dragon: AOL, (Bruce Lee, martial artist/actor) This site is a living and loving tribute to Bruce Lee.
  
• The Eileen Davidson Homepage: AOL, (Eileen Davidson, actress) This is an incredible fan-made site dedicated to the actress Eileen Davidson, best known these days for her multiple roles on "Days of Our Lives". This site has everything: music, animations, photos (including in-person ones), articles, and tributes left by other fans.
  
• Beth's Jensen Ackles Page: AOL, (Jensen Ackles, actor). This site is dedicated to the handsome young actor from "Days of Our Lives", Jensen Ackles, and features music, animations, images and resources for his fans. Some of the images are so large that they take a while to load, but they're clear and very complimentary to their subject, so they're worth the wait. We congratulate Beth on the effort she obviously put into her site.
  
• I Love Jensen Ackles Home Page: AOL (Jensen Ackles, actor). Another site dedicated to this handsome newcomer to the daytime drama "Days of Our Lives" this site features music, current updates, images, and access to a newsletter, fans' poll, links, and a webring. Another fine site; we're happy to add it to our roster.
  
• Robert Redford Home Page: AOL (Robert Redford, actor/ director/ activist). This excellent site includes everything for the Redford fan: galleries of images, quotes, biography, filmography, articles, a catalog of Redford's awards, access to Redford-related videos, posters, and articles, a Robert Redford Game, newsletter, chatroom, message board... you name it! The site is also updated regularly, and gives fans the latest information of where Redford might be appearing (in films, TV, articles or in person). The webmistress, Julia, also has a "MY AWARD" for which visitors can apply. All the way down to the "guard cat", Ginger, this site is comprehensive, well-maintained and easy to navigate.

FORTUNECITY:

• We Just Love Looking at This Man: Fortunecity, (Michael T. Weiss, actor) Webmaster Steve the "Boyfan". This is a large gallery of high-quality images, and links to movie and TV sites.
  
• The Pretenders Archive: Fortunecity, ("The Pretender", television series/ Michael T. Weiss, actor) Webmasters Gregg and Steven Jagusch. One of the most comprehensive Pretender sites on the web, this one includes particularly detailed synopses of all of the characters in the show, episode recaps, and high-quality images.

GEOCITIES:

• MT.WAS, The Michael T. Weiss Appreciation Society: Geocities, (Michael T. Weiss, actor) Webmistress Genie. A unique site in that it offers members in a free association of Michael T. Weiss fans. It also includes a filmography, an "ads" section, and links to three other high-quality sites created and maintained by the same webmistress.
  
• James Marsden Web: Geocities, (James Marsden, actor) This site is by a very dedicated Marsden fan. It includes the "standard" filmography, biography, links, and images, but also goes beyond the norm with an advterising campaign for Marsden's newest movie and a count-down to his birthday.
  
• Jonathan Jackson: The Ultimate Home Page: Geocities (Jonathan Jackson, actor).This site is accomplished and slick-looking, and includes a facts page on Jonathan, photo galleries (including "baby pictures"), information on this actors latest EMMY, link and rings, and even a game-playing area. The upload is rather s-l-o-w, but the site's worth waiting for even if you're not a JJ fan. Reese did an excellent job.
  
• James Marsden Online: Geocities (James Marsden, actor). This is another, very slick-looking site dedicated to the actor. It inlcudes access to a chat room, mailing list, "Photozone", surveys, and a "What's new" area that's updated regularly, among other things. A dedicated fan has put a lot of effort into this site, and it shows.
  
• APAS: Andrea Parker Appreciation Society: Geocities (Andrea Parker, actress, The Pretender). This site allows fans of Andrea Parker, best known these days for her stint as "Miss Parker" on NBC television's The Pretender series, access to membership in a unofficial association of her fans. Something of a "sibling site"to Genie's, MT.WAS site (above), this site, created by the webmistress Millicent, also gives fans images, background information, and links to more information on Andrea Parker. It's slick-looking, easily accessible and a wonder tribute to the actress.

TRIPOD:

• Dina's Jensen Ackles Page: Tripod (Jensen Ackles, actor) This is yet another site by one of Jensen's very dedicated fans. This one features pictures, a facts page, access to articles written about the actor, links, and access to a JA fan club and webrings.Dina has also created her own award for Jensen/ Days of Our Lives-related webpages called the "Picture Perfect Site" award.
  
• The Highway Out of Town, a site dedicated to The Refreshments. "Chances are, you already know who the Refreshments are, but for the few who don't, they are a kickin' rock quartet from Tempe Arizona (home also to the Gin Blossoms)." This site includes access to Refreshments sound files, a webring, a didscography, news, trivia, monthly features and more.

OTHER:

• Hank Hill's Propane Page: Inav.net (Hank Hill, Animated Television Character; propane &propane accessories.) We usually reserve awards to sites dedicated to "real" people (as opposed to annimated ones), but this site was so exceptional we had to award it.
  
• Deidre Hall - Days of Our Lives: Marlena.com (Deidre Hall, actress, daytime drama "Days of Our Lives"). This semi-official site run by CJParadis is very comprehensive with up-to-date information, photos available to fans, diary excerpts, episode summaries, chat links... An excellent site.
  
• The Jeremy Northam Web Site: Bayside.net (Jeremy Northam, actor). This stylish site gives fans all the information they need on the actor who's performed in such motion pictures as "Amidstad", "Emma", and "Mimic". There are links to biographical information, films and theatre work, newspaper articles, photos , sound files, and more.
  
• The "Bruce Lee Ultimate Fighter" Page: Colba.net (Bruce Lee, martial artist/actor). This site is more than just an "In Memorium" page to Bruce Lee; it attempts to keep his spirit alive in others. A well laid-out site, this one includes links to the Dragon Temple Project, a Bruce Lee history, news, images, music, games and puzzles, a chat room, links to other Lee sites, and information on Jeet Kune Do. It's a wonderful tribute to Lee and his fans.
  
• The Hills: Xoom.com (Hank Hill, King of the Hill). This site dedicated to the animated television show includes amusing pictures from the series, show news, a mailing list, and links to animations at FoxWorld.com.
